It is critical for IT companies to develop effective practices in managing these external audits in order to ensure that these audits are value-adding activities for both the company and its customers.

Synopsis:

IT companies are now increasingly subjected to different types of external audits.  It is mainly due to the fact that their IT products and services play an important role in support of their customers’ business processes.

However, from an IT company’s standpoint, these audits are often expensive and may be potentially risky in case the impact of the audit findings limits its business.

It is therefore critical for IT companies to develop effective practices in managing these external audits in order to ensure that these audits are value-adding activities for both the company and its customers.
